The Kangaita tea factory is a cooperative of Kenyan tea farmers and is located on the southern slopes of snow‑capped Mount Kenya. The elevation created by the Rift Valley ridge system is ideal for tea cultivation, as the high altitude and moist climate help concentrate the flavors.
Kenyan oolong tea is an emerging specialty tea variety known for its honeyed aroma and nutty and malty flavor profiles.
